Here’s to New Beginnings!
I took a little time off from tarot lately. I haven’t blogged in awhile either. It’s been for me, as I assume it has for everyone, a strange time. A time of growth and taking steps forward, and a time of giving into the darkest parts of myself. Now, that civilization creeps towards something reminiscent of “normalcy”, I can begin to evaluate my recent past and move into the present.
Only fitting, then, to start this blog with the Ace of Wands.
The card that corresponds to Kether on the Tree of Life. The card of potential, creativity, the beginning. The Big Bang. The card of Creation. The card of Summer, a burning hot Sun, or rather the plasma before there was a Sun. In the card, as all cards, is its reversal: fall, ruin, destruction. The energy that can make the plants grow or burn them to a crisp, that can power a city or cause a meltdown. I have felt both of these in the last couple of months. It’s important to have yourself in a state receptive to such power, and if you pull this card you had better have the internal stability to hold on tight.
Or else..
